Snake always hiding

Hi guys i bought my snake about 3 weeks ago now and my snake never explores. Im a night person so dont sleep to early hours and he is never out. He is eating and digesting with no problems but always stays in his hide at first he was on the hot side but after a week he's moved to the cool side and never leaves only when i get him out for feeding.

I wanted to wait for proper handling when he started exploring me taking that as a sign for comfort but he's not doing this.

Is this normal?

perfectly normal in my opinion/ snakes are like people thede all differest. my previous snale took months to slither around his home while i was awake/ i wouldnt be suprised if you snakes moving wjile your mot looking tjere pretty sly!!

Absolutely normal. They will go where they feel most comfortable and secure. For new snakes, especially young snakes, this means hiding in a land far, far away! (or rather, under bedding, in a hide, wherever). I find that I rarely see my little ones, adults I see more often, but they can also be prone to hiding. They feel more secure, it's natural.
