i have an okee i think, had him about 6 weeks probably about 2 yrs of age. he is eating well and all but his colour is getting darker very dark on his back area, is this typical or is something wrong? thnx
no injury hes been eating very good and had good sheds. i m home about every other weekend and when i came home this time he seems alot darker on his back. dark brown/black and normally bright orange. will feed tomorrow and see if he eats. last shed i tried to feed him and he wouldn't eat, next day he shed then he ate. so we will see, he appears to be in good health otherwise. i thought maybe he was not getting enough full spectrum light thnx for the info :shrugs:
Excessive shedding could be sings of a few things. Does it soak a lot? Mites would be my guess there. Also, if it's retaining an eye cap it could trigger another shed in hopes of slothing the cap.
