Snake got stiff

My snake started shedding and everything seemed ok, but a week after, which is today, he was in his water bowl not moving(his head was under), i got him out and he was really stiff, he seems fine now, but does anybody know what he was doing?, i thought he was dead in his water dish.

Thanks,

Luke

I have a few questions to see if I can help.

1. What are the temps in your cage?
2. Is there still shed on him?
3. How long have you had this snake?
4. Was he cold when you picked him out of the water? (to the touch).

My temps are 84 and 75, i have hides on both sides
he was cold to the touch when i got him out
i got Looey on February 9, so almost two months
there was still shed on him, a good bit too, but i then took a damp cloth and played with him and it all came off within 15 minutes

Thanks,

Luke

He might have been slightly stiff due to the cold temperature. He was likely soaking to try and remove the bad shed that was still on his body. Next time you see him go into blue please make sure to put a humid hide into his tank.
