Snake got stuck, belly indented

Ranz and stick

New member
Hey,

I have a 1,5 year old
and the idot tried to force himself in a space too narrow and when I found him he had a dent in his belly. Have no idea how long he was like this when I saw him last night he was fine.
So he was still alive and moving when I freed him. Should I be worried?
I know they are pretty flexible. But saw some discoloration
I made some pictures
First the terrarium

He got stuk in between the lid and the tweasers, stupid me forgot them there
But has never been a problem before
Next a picture of his belly, my thumb points at the piont where he got stuck
i really hope he will be fine

Do you have tips on What I should keep an eye on besides leaving my tweezer in a stupid place.
I also have plans to seal of that spot so he can't get up there anymore.
I mean health wise. He should eat tomorrow, do I wait or feed him like normal?

I also never close the lid if he is up there, always take him down first if someone thinks i closed te lid on him

He'll probably be fine. I had a snake get pinched underneath a sliding glass door and she healed right up.

I would not feed him right away. I would wait at least a week and see what it looks like then. He may go blue pretty quickly and if that happens, I wouldn't feed him until after his shed. You may want to feed him smaller meals for a little while too.

These things happen, even with children. I would not feed him. I would watch him like I would a human. I would pay attention to breathing, Passing stool or blood and activity level or behavior. So sorry it happened. I know you are heart broken. Hopefully all will be well. Please keep us advised.

Happy to report, that it took a while but today he finaly accepted his food. The mark on his belly is still there. He didn't shed yet thats maybe why
