i fed my snake friday or saturday and he hasnt pooped yet.

should i put him in the bathtub this time?

or is this somewhat normal?

thanks

No. leave the poor snake alone. There is a good chance that you just missed it.
Sometime it just get absorbed in the bedding too. Do a general cleaning of the viv. If you find some.. good if not... good!!

oh ok i had no idea they could take this long. hes always pooped right after 3 days since i got him in april i was worried he had a blockage.

Is it possible he is blue? They will hold it the whole time, then, for nearly two weeks.

And if you ever have the urge to bathe your snake, the water should be room temp, not warm. It would feel cool to the touch, because your skin temp is 91, which is WAY too hot for a snake.

what do you mean is he blue? hes a orangey red cornsnake ?? the water wasnt that warm a lot colder than my boiling hot apartment or his heatlamp i used to have in the wintertime

"Blue" means getting ready to shed. He might look cloudy or "blue" in his eyes and belly scales, or if he is an amel, he might look pink. Other clues would be inactivity and refusing to feed.

"In Blue" means they are about to shed. They go a duller color and their eyes get a milky color as it's the skin over the eyes coming loose. During this "blue" time, they sometimes won't eat, poop and get ornery when you try to handle them. she just is asking if he is blue because they sometimes don't poop during that stage.

In the Husbandry and Basic Care forum there is a sticky on common terms, this and the other sticky in each forum is a helpful read.

When popcorn started her shed cycle & was in blue she didn't poop for nearly 2 weeks & then kindly left a nice poo inside her shed skin for me. Lovely!
