Snake is missing in the house somewhere...

Punkatized

Snake Princess
So....if you were a baby corn snake...where would you go? =/

We dont even know how he got out of his tank...we're thinking that he squeezed through it somehow...but...not sure...but he's been missing since...11:00 last night...and we've searched all over the house.

So, yeah...if you have any suggestions...let me know...

Thanks!

So sorry to hear that your snake is missing. There are lots of ideas if you do a search.
Let me ask does your house have floor vent for heat? Were any windows open? Do you have an indoor cat or dog? If you have a cat or dog watch them as they may lead you to the snake. I had two escapes one was out the bottom plug in the viv the snake pried is up and went out, cat was watching something on the floor. Next escape a different snake got out a hole about 1/4x1/4 the size of and electric cord, the cats woke me up moving a stack of quilts around on my sewing table, seems the snake likes quilts to cuddle in. Snakes burrow and hide and look for warmth. good luck susan

I was worried about the vents at first but then remembered that they're on the ceiling! haha. I do have a cat but she hasnt shown any signs or anything. :shrugs: I'm hoping she didnt eat him. Which I doubt...she's a timid thing. The room that he was in was my bedroom which is super small. Me and my fiance moved all the furniture and everything last night and this morning I stayed home to look more. I'm just frazzled. I'm just happy my other corn is still in his tank...Thank you for your advice.

Check closets. My girl got out 3 times in a month. We don't panic anymore because we find her in the same place everytime. In the closet 3 feet off the floor curled under a blanket. We put weather stipping around top of tank and lid. Didn't work! Keeps getting out of corner holes where wire probe is. We just bought tanks with sliding tops so we can lock them (no corner holes) Good Luck. And keep looking.

Ugh...I've turned the house upside down...taken everything out of the closets...shacken out every piece of clothing in my dressers and closet and that were in the dirty close ben..looked in other rooms...outside...i have no clue...ive been looking since 11 oclock lastnight..and still am trying...i almost feel like giving up...but yet...i really dont want to...he's my baby. =( I keep hoping that maybe he'll just show up. =/

Update!!!!

Well, we gave up for a good two hours...and when I was beginging to leave the room I look over on this tall book shelf and I let out this loud yelp! I was so flippin' happy! haha! Justin was looking at me thinking I was just joking even when I was holding him in my hand. haha! He was in shock. I still dont know how his little self climbed up that tall book shelf. :shrugs: But! I dont care! We have him back! ^_^
