First off, if you just got him, he probably needs some time to adjust to the new environment (5-7 days at least). Second, did you ask the previous owner/petstore/breeder when he last ate? He may not be hungry. Also, if he is 3 feet long, pinkies are more than likely too small for him, he may just not be interested in them (some larger snakes will be, some will not---my adult amel loves them, but my others just ignore them). Try the search function to get ideas on how to get your snake to eat, there are many ways that work (eg. exposed brain, scent transfer, bait & switch, pinky wash, etc.). Additionally, (maybe they published the article just for you :grin01: ) the current (most recent) issue of Reptiles Magazine (Nov. 2005 with the fire salamander on the cover) has a good 10+ page article on "25 tips to get your new snake to eat".
