Snake Won't Eat

ReptileMama4

Snakey Mama
Hi, sorry if there's already a thread for this, but I didn't see one.

Anyway, my snake is not eating. This is just the first try, but my question is how long will the pinky last? Do I need to throw it away, and try another one next time? I can't afford to keep throwing these things away. Should it just throw it in the freezer and use it again next time?

Thanks for all your suggestions. :)

Hmm... well, for one thing, how long did you have the pinky out? Did you leave it overnight? I think you might as well toss it. It's just one pinky, after all.

I let the pink sit in hot water for about 30 minutes before giving it to my snake. I gave it to my snake at about 4:30 PM. Now it's like 8:00 PM, and the snake is still in the container with the mouse. Should I just leave them be? Thanks.:)

Is the container the snake and mouse are in secure? Does it have air holes? Can you put it in the snake viv and close the viv?

If so, it would be great to leave the snake in with the mouse and leave them alone overnight.

Yes to all 3 questions. :) I will do that and hope the mouse is gone by the time I wake up. Great idea. Thanks. :dancer:
