Snakes/Lizards Exhibit at CA Academy (PICS)

Today my mother & I went to the California Academy of Sciences (San Francisco) to view the new snakes/lizards exhibit... I actually have more snakes at my house, but I did get to see some cool critters! I certainly don't have a Gabon Viper, for example, so at least there was some novelty to it. Definitely worth checking out if you live nearby, but not worth driving a long distance or anything.

Here are some, okay LOTS of photos! I know we're limited to 10 per post, so I'll have to split these into 3 separate posts... and sorry there are no corn snakes, despite the fact that they showed one in the commercials for this exhibit.

P.S. It was actually yesterday we visited, not that it matters... I copied & pasted the thread from my other forum, and forgot to change that sentence. :D And FYI, the exhibit runs through September, so there's still plenty of time to see it!
 
Great shots, thanks for sharing! It's always nice to see animals set up in nice fake natural habitats.

Also, the animatronic snake from "Anaconda" is awesome! Back in the days when special effects were actually created. lol, that thing looks so sweet. They should have had it moving around.
 
The venomous snake is a cobra. Beautiful! Not sure on type. I was thinking Black Spitting Cobra or Egyptian Cobra.
