I take my two bigger snakes outside every few days they seem to love it! all my other snakes are still to small an could easily get lost under the grass. I live in the middle of town on a corner lot an get looks all the time :shrugs:
I take mine outdoors (when the weather is nice) for photos, etc. 'Course, they get the opportunity for some ~very well supervised~ exploration at these times.
I take mine out for photos, and some of the bigger ones just to let them walk around and climb trees. I think it's good exercise! It's fun to take a baby out for the first time that has never climbed before.
I actually get more of a kick out of my husband. When they start moving in the direction of the house he is sure they know where they live and want to go back inside. He does the same thing with Lizzy.
Smokey enjoys the dogwood he's photoed on because there is a plant called Stonecrop, very short with fern like leaves, growing around the base of the tree and he sort of snuggles in there. And it is good exercise.
I take Dante out when its nice out. One thing I've noticed is that if I have him in the grass or something he is extra resistant to being picked up again, sometimes he freaks out a little. But other than that its great, plus the sunlight is really nice for pictures.
I take my '04 snow, Ouzo, out once in awhile. Like DogStar's Dante, mine is always a little resistant when it's time to go back inside..sometimes even to the point of me getting musked, but that's the only time he'll ever do that.
