Snow corn Regurged???

I fed Snowflake on Friday and today I found that she had regurged one of her mice. Her heater was unpluged for a couple of day after she was fed because I had to put a new plug in. But I don't know if that would be why she regurged it back up, is it? I was also wondering...since she regurgatated (sp?)...does that mean I should feed her earlier...and if so when should I feed her again? Oh...and I don't know if this would help some if you guys out. But I got her Dec 25. I don't know how ol she is on the dot....but I know she is know older than 6 months....maybe about 4 months old. And she has ate every other meal just fine.

Most probably, yes. Snakes need heat not only to digest, but to warm up their whole body, So having a heater unplugged for a couple of days sounds very worrying..

No, definately not earlier.. after a regurge, wait at least 8-10 days before attempting to feed again. Click here for detailed information on what to do.

I don't get this, you know she's OLDER than 6 months... but maybe about 4 months, I'm sorry but 4 months would make her YOUNGER..

Thanks for the information...I will deff make sure I keep that heater on. I have been doing some things to my room....and I can't believe that I for got that. So...instead of feeding her Friday like I normally do....I should try and feed her Saturday or Monday? And yes....this is my first time to post here....but not my first snake. I have actully been going to Kingsnake.com for a while. I have two cornsnakes....a Creamsicle and a Snow. My brother had one a couple years back....but while he had it....I took care of it and treated it for it's mites. I took care of it untill mom made him sale it. I know this may sound mean....but it doesn't mean to be. But I am just making sure people know I am not new at these wonderful little guys so they don't treat me like a newbie, lol. Love the information people give me though so please don't stop, lol!!!

I would feed on Friday, but not this Friday, Friday the 24th. You want to wait 10 days from the day she regurged.

I've been keeping snakes on and off since 1974; more seriously for the past few years and I still consider myself a newbie.

It's funny that you say that...because I was just about to say....But I still learn something new from them everyday. So in a way we all are newbies, lol.

Another question?

I was also wondering....why would you feed her later than earlier? I would think if she just through up her last meal...then I should feed her earlier than normal....because she just regurged her meal up. And...is the a time period that I should leave here a lone after she threw up?

When a snake regurges, it pukes up bacteria necessary for breaking down food items. It needs time to replenish these "gut flora".

Go to Health Issues/Feeding Problems. The very 1st thread is a sticky by JoeJr14. He has a link to an article by Kathy Love. You'll want to read this for the benefit of your animal.

Hard as it may be to follow the directions at times, like no handling, it is necessary for your snakes well being.

Good luck!
