Snow shed

Hi, I have a new bubble gum snow that's eaten fine twice but now has refused the last three feedings I've offered her. ( all feedings were at least 4 days apart). I'm wondering if maybe I missed her going into the blue stage. Is it harder to see in a snow hatchling? Can you see it at all? thanks

Yes, it is possible to see and yes, it is hard to tell until you know what to look for.

A snow's eyes will look a bit foggy, and then clear up before the shed. I took me a bit before I could tell, but if you look at/handle your snake enough, you'll catch on really fast.

Just wanted to update on Snowball. She finally shed after 10 days, and took a pinkie the same day. Hooray! I guess it is harder to tell with snow corns.

I often used to miss the signs of shed with my snow, now she's gaining more colour I can see that she looks paler pre-shed, but as a baby she fooled me most times!

My normal is super easy to tell, of course, but even before she starts to go blue, I notice a definite behaviour change. Usually she's out _all_ the time when she knows we are home/awake- then one day, she won't be out when we would normally expect to see her, and sure enough, two days later she's starting to go blue. Same thing with my baby Cali.

Glad to hear it was nothing to worry about!
