snow that refused to eat, looking good now

crazyforcorns

hatchling
Kokanee didn't eat f/t for over a month. I bought him in December and had his first shed about a week ago, after eating 2 live pinkies at a time. I was really worried about this fella. He's the calmest one I have. I real gentleman. He's much smaller than my females approx the same age.
Enjoy

Nice looking snake! I have two snakes currently that have been refusing meals for more than a month, starting to run out of options. How did you get him to eat for you?

is it not quite normal for them to be a little picky around breeding season as they have other more important things on their minds ;) hee hee

Normally if they are near adult size or are adults, it would be common for them to refuse meals for one or two months. But, my guys and crazyforcorns snow are still little, so you would think that they shouldnt be refusing food. My anery used to eat every meal and shed on time, but for the past couple months he has been picky, and he is still tiny even though he hatched in August.

He is a petstore snake, and was fed live. I converted him to f/t and he did quite well for a little while, then totally went off food. I brained, I tuna scented etc. I posted on here and someone suggested I try live pinkies. He was quite happy with that and will eat two without hesitation. It sucks, and I hope I can convert him back to f/t when he gets a little older. If not, I'll have to toughen up and feed him live forever. :shrugs:
