I think im going to explode.

Just had a row with my missus because i told her im thinking of trying to feed live mice/rats to my fussy python.

She said its inhumane, cruel and wrong and that its a shame for the mouse! WHAT ABOUT THE SNAKE, HE HASN'T EATEN IN 2 MONTHS! :angry01::angry01::angry01: IM NOT LETTING HIM STARVE.

Sorry, this is not really important, i just had to let it out!!

I guess she'll have to deal with it. What does she think eating a cow is? or a chicken? Has she ever seen a BP kill a mouse? Because it is probably more humane than most people kill cows or chickens...

I am not going to mention how bad that joke was taste...you probably already know. :)
 
probably not too long, but im getting worried regardless because he is my first ball python. Dont want him to starve.
 
i know, but she said because im making it suffer. I tried to explain, shes having none of it.
Can i say shes on her (you know what), or will i get banned?
 
I think if the python is a baby then 2 months is a long time. When I had ball pythons one of my adults would go off his food in the winter, sometimes not eating for 4 months.

But anyways Luke...just feed it while she is not there and tell her it at a frozen/thawed.....or tell her it's the food chain...it's natural. I don't like live feeding but if the snakes not eating it's werth a try.

i dont wanna feed it live. i dont want the risk of the mouse attacking the snake (even though i will be watching the whole time and monitoring). And she would find out somehow, then murder me. And you would see it on the news.

'Kid who loves snake found dead with rusty blade jammed up anus!'.... or sumat like that, i dont know :uhoh:
 
How much weight has the snake lost in the time not feeding?

Two months is not that long for a royal, really...
 
ok, thanks. im just worried about him. He was feeding ok when i had him. Hasn't fed now since i had him. Could try more f/t a few weeks down the line

Ohh come on...its a joke. Maybe it is a little rude but its funny (mostly for guys probably) and I think we all can take a joke. Sometimes you have to "train" guys and I will admit it!
