So confused

I,ve had my corn for over a month now and love her to bits , i have built a viv which is about 1 metre by 35 cm by 40 cm and am about to move her in.

I am now looking to get another corn about same age .

The place i got her from has been breeding for over 30 years and say it is fine to have the 2 corns in together especially in a viv of that size.I have also seen pics on here of 2 snakes together in 1 viv.

Is it ok to keep them together .

Please help, im new to this and keep getting conflicting help.

Thanks

After you read the FAQ, do a search in cohabitation, and you will find all the discussion you could ever want. The overwhelming consensus is no, never.

Read the treads then make up your mind. Just be prepared for some very pasionate opinions. They're you snakes and your responsibility do what you determine is best for your situation. :)

This is a very common question from Beginner keepers, and so you will find many threads posting on the topis as they have listed for you above. You will find so many people are passionate about not cohabitating for multiple reasons. yes, of course you can keep two together, but there are so many issues out of your control when you do that can cause the snakes stress which leads to illness.

The best reason I can give you not to cohabitate is the very logical reasoning that, if two snakes are together you will never know which is one is possibly ill if you find a regurge or some bad looking stool. I have an animal that has recently developed blood in his stool . He is housed alone , but if he wasnt , how would i know whether it was him or another animal in the cage?? Plus, if these are parasites causing the blood in his stool, he would for certain pass these to the other animal by sharing the same water.

Hope this helps bring some logic to the emotional topic.
