Solaris has her first meal at home

cohazard

corn snake noob!
I got Solaris, an '08' 0.1 MBK at the NARBC show.

That was about a week ago and she has been hunting for the past three nights, so I decided I would try feeding her a f/t pink.

She didn't seem interested at first, probably because this was my first time taking her out of her enclosure since putting her in, but once I got the pink in front of her tongue, she grabbed it with grace and ate it :)

Thanks for the nice comments every one :)

She is a sweet heart, I held her for a bit before putting her in the feeding tub and she is a true sweet heart, a little uncomfortable before beign picked up, but once she's in my hands she is calm and reminds me more of a ball python haha

Congratulations! That's a pretty humongous feeding container for her-maybe she'd be more successful in a smaller one, like a quarter of that size or less.

Wow... more MBK pics!!! And there's a pair on the classifieds. I better go to bed early tonight!!!!

Great looking snake! I really love looking at MBK's. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tip, it is always appreciated. I wonder though, how much more successful can she get? :roflmao:

haha thanks, one of her siblings at the Anaheim show had red spots on her belly. It was very cool looking, but I preferred Solaris' solid black belly, with a spot of white under her chin.

She is beautiful, congratulations on the feed!

Thank you Allison! It's such a good feeling to finally get over the suspense after getting a new snake and knowing that it will take f/t.

I'm sure she appreciates the compliment too :)
