some of my drawings!

Great pictures!! You're quite the artist-- you should post some reptilian (particularly snake) drawings because I need some ideas for my next tat.

I know I keep posting thank you's, but I truly mean it, THANK YOU all for your support. KPsammy, I will gladly post some pics of my snake drawings, feel free to print them as a reference to a tattoo if you'd like. I'm not a tattoo person myself, maybe because I draw so much and keep improving, I don't want to brand myself with them and run out of room. But I see the tattoo contests in "Reptiles" magazine, and I wish that I could send some of my drawings, but they're not tattoos. I've had people ask for tattoo drawings, but haven't officially done any yet. But if you post some ideas, I'm going to draw alot this weekend, and I could take suggestions.

Post some drawings of various types of colubrids (ah hem, maybe a corn snake?), pythons or boas for us. I am not heavily tattooed, but I am currently looking for ideas on my "masterpiece" which will most likely be the last one I get since I work in a field which requires me to be able to cover them up.

Thanks!

I'm an artist myself, and I have to say, those are really great. You have a great sense of facial anatomy and also shading values and tones. The values and tones give your portraits a great sense of depth and reality, and all the while I can tell you included your own style into them.

yes as all the other posts I would love to see more of your work, Especially with reptiles! THAT WOULD BE AWSOME!

Alright, tomorrow night (sunday) I will post a few snake drawings. I'm working on one now so I want to add that, but again thank you. And sallydog, I really appreciate your compliments, and your artists eye of shading, and facial anatomy. I have never taken drawing lessons, so my style is completely my own. I don't follow the usual guidelines of outlining the facial structure first, eyeline, brow line, lips, ears, etc.. I just start with one detail, mostly the nose (it helps me build porportions easier that way), then I work my way out, with light lines, and shading. That's why in my picture of Tupac, I left it unfinished, to show my technique of building my portraits up, and show that the porportions are still accurate. Same this goes for my snake drawings, I start with the eye, and then add scales and pattern until it's finished. It makes it hard, because if I make the scales disporportionate, it will make the whole snake disporportionate, thus there goes that drawing. But I find that the good thing about my technique, is that I don't try to force in details, such as scales, eyes, nose, because I work my way out from in, not in from out. So when it's completed, it will have an original look to it. I would love to see anyone elses artwork if you can find a way post it, feel free to post it under this thread as well.

Yeah, I know I'm sorry, I will post tonight or tommorow. After I posted that I would get my drawings on here, my brother yelled for me to go outside. He wanted me to catch a snake, It was a baby milk snake. So I've been busy working in the morning, and looking around for more in my free time. I will post a couple of drawings tonight for sure, and more in the next couple of days. I have also posted pictures of the snake in the thread "pictures incredible find", and I have also found some really cool salamanders.
