hello

What we do is put the snake in a large rubbermaid box (any box with a tight fitting lid will work) with a couple warm towels...damp/wet ones so that he could climb around them. His skin is usually off in about a half hour!

raise the humidity in the cage by misting the sides.

i know that sometimes if the old skin on the tail doesn't come off the snake might loose his tail

Hi,
Try what BMM said,I think thats a good idea. I always keep a small plastic ( depending on the size of the snake ) container with damp moss in my snake vivs. This way they can go and come as they please. My snakes live in it at shedding time.
After doing what BMM said check your snake out very well. Make sure that all the skin has come off all the way down to the very tip of the tail.
I hope this helps,
Jimmy C.
