Something in water - please help!

I've just noticed a brown-black splodge on the edge of the water bowl, I thought perhaps it was some poo but on closer inspection it appeared to be some kind of tiny slug-type creature!!! I don't know how it's got in there, I have cleaned the water bowl and refreshed water obviously... Will the snake be ok? Could he get sick if he drank the water whilst it was in there and has anybody else ever experienced this?!

(Everytime I try and attach the picture, it crashes... But it looks like a tiny slug, about a cm long)

Without a picture we can't know, but I would keep an eye on the whole viv and always change the water daily (you would anyway). It could be something from the substrate, the water, who knows? Hopefully it was a one time deal and he should be fine, but keep an eye on your beastie just to be safe.
