.........king me. A warm welcome to Cinderella, 0.1 Desert Kingsnake Pos. Het. Hypo from Don and Sally Shores of ShoreEnuffSnakes. I bought this one at the last Expo of the year in San Antonio around early November. Just now getting around to posting some pics of the little girl. I think she will become an awesome looking adult as time goes by, and will be neat to watch her progress. See managed to sandwich two refusals within two good feedings on either side so hopefully she is done with that nonsense. No musking or tail rattling has come about either (have never been musked with any of my 5 king/milks). I had also purchased two more Abbott's from Don/Sally and a pair of Miamis from Carol, so will try to get pics of those this weekend also to post in the regular photo section. Anyway, enjoy. :santa:

Wow! Cool looking king, Galen. I haven't seen too many splendidas, so I appreciate you posting these pics. Awesome pattern.

She's beautiful!! Another awesome kingsnake for me to wish for.

Have you tried slitting/cutting the mice for your refusing guys? I ask because I started, not because of refusals, but because of the growth study. Choco, who had a weird double refusal thing going on (perfect- never refused, then refused two times, then ate two times, then refused two times) who has been trending more and more toward taking longer and longer to feed, is now eating the second he gets into the container with cut mice, and never refusing. Zee, always an enthusiastic feeder, turned into a psycho feeder and even bit himself when offered his first cut fuzzy! Inez, the princess who hates to be handled, flew into her deli cup and wouldn't release my hand with her tail when offered her first cut pink. Even Addy, who is always assisted-fed, opened her mouth herself and didn't gag out her first cut pink...

Just a thought.

thank you dean......i was never too fond of them until i saw the colors on this one. and being a steelers fan since the early 80's helped also.

thank you mike......oh my, the "coveted"   wwwwoooooohhhhhhhooooooo :crazy02:

and thank you nanci.....i might start doing that anyway. actually i had forgotten about it as the "soap" trick seemed to work a few months ago when i was having problems with 1/2 of my collection. i am just doing the regular thawing process now, but might need to start cutting on everyone of them as i remember people talking about it helping in the digestion too. and with your example of 4 snakes "acting-a-fool" when it comes to eating time.......it just might be the trick.

Nice splendida indeed!

And you can't go wrong getting stuff from Don Shores. Great guy with great snakes! My albino splendida line comes from him.

I looked at a bunch in the classifieds just for fun, and I think you have the prettiest one there is!

Had a really fun cut pink experience with Inez last night...It definitely perks them up!
