Spoiling a Baby

ssmith_1187

In the land of Cheeeeeese
I was spoiling my snake.

I got Mr. Slithers from Kathy Love last Wednesday (11/29). I left him alone until Saturday (12/2) when he was scheduled for his “first” feeding. Well, no such luck. I put him in his deli cup on Sunday (12/3) night with a pinkie and Monday morning still nothing.

I then contacted Kathy and told her what was going on. She has been most helpful!!! In one of my e-mails to her I told her that I would keep finding him all snuggled up in the vines that I had in his viv. She told me I should remove everything, except for a hide that runs from the cool side to the warm side of the viv and his water dish.

OH…….I did just that but now I think he’s mad at me since I haven’t seen him since Monday :) When I took everything out, he tried climbing the back wall of the enclosure where I had the vines and when he didn’t find them, he promptly made a b-line into the Aspen on the warm side.

Who knew you could spoil your baby snake :)

Regards,
Steve
