Stages of Shedding?

Can someone describe the stages of shedding please? Maybe post pics? Precious is my first snake so I am very new at this. I noticed that the scales on her belly have become iridescent. Does that mean anything?? She is looking pretty dull too. Help please? ^_^

Colours dull and you might notice the eyes going cloudy - then colours and eyes return to normal for a few days - then the shed.

I've never noticed belly scales being iridescent as part of the process, but then I've never looked!

What they look like will depend on what morph they are. As you can imagine, trying to spot a white-based morph going into the cloudy "blue" phase, can be a bit of an issue!

Maybe her scales have always been iridescent down there and I just never noticed before :p Ok thank you for the info!!!!

It is not unusual for a snake going thru shedding to be lethargic, grumpy or snappy or to refuse a meal either. That varies based on the individual or the phase of the shed cycle. At the start of shedding, my corns also tend to hang on the warm side of the tank, not so much towards the end of the cycle.

That's usually best. They might be grumpier then and it could stress them more to handle them while in blue.

Agreed, although it really does depend on the snake. Mind doesn't seem to care about handling in blue, but I cut back anyway. Also carries on eating like a "insert fat joke here"
