State side travel plans

Hey all, me and my girlfriend are planing some state side travel plans, I have to go to Port Huron, Michigan for new tires for my car, but we plan on staying a whole weekend doing some shopping and maybe some sight seeing, I'm wanting to do some pet store looking and maybe shopping... maybe, but I'm thinking that's on the low side because I've been limited to one snake purchase this year and I kind of already have my sights on one. But if anyone could tell me things to do and shopping. Mostly sticking to Michigan but if there's an attraction around the bordering States it might bring us there. So things like pet stores, shopping plaza's (Were already planing on going to Birch Run) and anything else anyone could come up with.
Thanks all.

Boy, if you looking to travel here in Michigan. depending on how far you want to travel. Heading north, over to the west is a beautiful place called Traverse City. It's beautiful up there. It's on Lake Michigan, with blue, blue waters. I love it up there and I think you'd enjoy the drive immensly. I think it would take you about 2 hours or so to get there from Port Huron.
