sterilizing driftwood

How can you sterilize a piece of driftwood that's too big to fit in the oven?

It's been washed with a pressure hose and baked in the sun, but is that good enough?
 
That would be one way to do it...thanks Mike :)

I don't know how attached to the single piece of driftwood you are...but would you be willing to cut it into 2 pieces that would fit in the oven?
