Hi all I am a new snake owner after getting a snow after some research. I have had him or her ( not sure which yet) for about 10 days. He is a very good eater and will take a medium sized pinky with no problems. I have fed him twice now every five days. He digests fine with no regurge and poops with no problem. The question I have is after 5 days there is still a small bulge from the previous feeding. Is this normal? He eats with no problems after 5 days so I assume he is still hungry, although the bulge doesn't seem to be totally gone even after some poops. On a side note I would just like to say that this site is an awesome resource for a snake owner and is the perfect compliment to other snake books. Thanks for all the help.

Ok first off, where is the lump? in the middle of the body or nearer the tail? If it's near the tail it probabley a build up of poop, if it's near the middle i myself would be concerned, esspecially after 5 days.

poop

they dont really take that long to digest food. Probably about 2-3 days so i think it most probably will be poop.

Hi there, Your at the right place this is a great place for information, and
congrats on getting a corn snake.
I read that you feed twice so far and had your corn for ten days, just to let you know, try to give him so time to settle in too, before you handle him to much. up to a week I say.
besides that Good luck

yep that was it

hey thanks for all the feedback everyone. It did turn out to just be a poop build-up. He seems to be doing quite well and is getting ready for a shed now. Thanks again.
