Strange bump and browning during shed

Rapunzels Prince Charming
just got rapunzel out to feed her and saw she was in shed but also on her bottom jaw in the back corner of her mouth. I thought she had got some substrate trapped in her mouth at first but then saw its her actual scale. Is this something from her she'd or did she get mouth rot and if so how do I cure it?

Sorry to sound pushy but really worried this is the first abnormal problem I've had with one of the scale babies and I'm acared

I have no idea, but I certainly hope it's nothing too serious. Someone who knows more than I do (it's not hard to do!!) will be able to answer your questions shortly, I'm sure.

It looks like the early stage of mouth rot, best to take her to a reptile veterinary to get the proper medication or at least make sure that's exactly what it is. Hope she gets better soon! Try checking Google images to compare it and check for tips in the mean time.

Right now I'm applying neosporin and peroxide/water (50/50) solution to it to see if it clears up. I'm having trouble getting her mouth open to check the rest of her mouth though to see if its further advanced than I thought.

Well a good Bit of it actually just cleaned up with a qtip so she wasn't as bad as I thought. I finally got her mouth open and she looks okay. No signs of irritatation besides right there on her mouth and the gum directly inside of her mouth next to it. I'm thinking she may have scraped herself on something and then it got infected. I cleaned it again last night and then checked today and did the same treatment from what I can see the slight swelling is gone and the brown spot has went down to half the original spot. I'll continue monitoring her and then give her exhibit a full clean to avoid anything in the future.

good to hear!!

Rapunzel finally shed today and now she seems to have made a full recovery. Whatever her affliction was came off with her old shed. Does mouth rot do that if not I'm thinking it was some kind of external infection instead and that's why it went away with her shed. Thank you for the help and concerns.

One of my snakes once got something similar right before a shed. The edge of his bottom lip was brown and crusty but it went completely away after his shed. I wouldn't worry about your girl too much unless it doesn't go away.
