Strange orange dot

Today I was cleaning day and when i was cleaning my 2005 female snows Viv i noticed something on her a small orange dot i checked it out thinking it was a mite or something just to find out that its just an orange dot on a scale. What does it mean? I don't know about her parents so any replies would be helpfull. :shrugs:

Would it be possible to post a picture? I'm really not sure whether it's a foreign body or just discolouration or something.. :shrugs:

That happens. Some anerys (and snows) will get a dot of red/orange here and there. My snow has one, and my leucy Tx Rat even has an orange dot. Both are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. :)

I have a Snow with a few blood-red colored dots here and there.

Unless you see legs or see it move, I doubt its anything to worry about.

My snow boy has a red dot on him...I think it's cute and joke that it's his birth mark!
That's cute Adèle!

D&L, why not 'join the dots' and see if it forms a picture :)

My anery has about 25 scattered about her body its just some disfuntion in anerythrism i believe. over time the snake produces red pigment. it has to do with the gene that produces it, its not absolute which is why snows are pink and even orange and they become more so overtime.

Think of the dots as freckles... we have a ghost that has one or two and our one snow has one on his belly I think...

I just don't understand how someone even finds a 7 month old thread to post in, that's all.

Thanks for the kind words, Tim.

It's called the search feature. Something new members get pounced all over for NOT using when they have a question, but the moment they bump an thread up, they get jumped all over.

Jeez.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
