Strange spot

Do corn snakes bruise? About 6 months ago Cortez came down with a small spot of scale rot. After dozens of trips to the vet for antibiotics it was gone, however, a large purple discoloration resides. (Not sure if it is the same spot where the infection was). Also, in another area there is a stripe of pinkish greenish and purple.(These spots do not stink or drain any fluids).
He does not seem bothered by them at all and he has had them for quite some time. Should I have them looked at? Or is it just old scaring?

Thanks,

Some snows get little spots of red, so that may be what yours has. It may not be related to his scale rot at all.

The second spot could be that, but up close the first spot looks almost spider web like- purple lines cross weaving. Its not a natural scale color.

I suppose it could be bruising then. I would think that they can bruise the same as any animal with a vascular system. Has he received injections? If so, it could be from that perhaps.

Yep, thats what the vet recommended. That makes much more sense if it is left over from the various injection sites.

Thank you!
