Thanks Mike! It's not often our critters rank the full 3 cools!

They look great. I wish it was warm enough here to take pictures outside.
Thank you! Yeah, the outdoor weather this time of year is one of the few benefits that living in So Cal has! lol

Awesome, I love that first stripe.
It's so hard to pick a favorite between the two because they are at completely different ends of the stripe spectrum. He's a huge pig though, eats anything we give him!

Beautiful stripes there (I admit, I'm one of those "stripe fans"); nice ventral picture too. I think your new camera can do them justice - bring 'em back out!

Thank you for the compliments! It's hard to spend quality time with all of our critters and I'll be the first to admit that a few of them get more camera time then the rest. Since we picked up the new cam, it has been easier to capture both of these two much easier, so you'll most likely be seeing more of them then in the past!

the brigther one is the female, and the almost buttery looking the male right?
Yep, that's correct!

thats strange because i got 1.1 cb 06 and the female is really bright (just like yours) and my male is lighter , not that red. (mine are het. caramel, yours too?)
We don't know the complete genetics behind these two, though we are making plans to test them out once they are mature enough to breed. The most obvious pairing would be with each other, but I've been seriously thinking about using Knot-boy for a striped blood project - looking to further reduce the pattern giving the snakes a more solid red (or orange) color. I know there are some out there like that already, but I don't have any yet. lol

hypolavenders for example are known to have better coloured males, maybe in amel stripeds the females are looking better
I don't think that is true of the amel stripes. There were a couple of male striped amels at the table the day we purchased these two that looked a lot like river, we just couldn't decide at the time, which pattern we liked best, so we brought home one of each paired. lol. There was even or female that had a vanishing stripe like Sediment, though her's wasn't nearly as nice of a pattern as his!

'Sediment' appears to be half hypo, literally.
He definitely has a really nice 'wash' to the latter half of his body.
Beautiful snakes indeed.
Trevor
His pattern has also been slowly fading out as he grows older too, which is really nice to see! As I mentioned in an earlier reply above, I'm thinking of using him in a diffused/bloodred project.
Thanks again everyone!
