Stubbed tail question

Morrison

Snakard
Now that my corn snake gets bigger (he was sick when I bought him. Didn't even know that. It was actually one of my first snakes) I see his tail is a little.... stubbed.

He have had some bad sheddings while sick and probably some pieces of skin got around his tail so the tail tissue died.

But the tail itself looks clean. But my question is if it's spreading or that it will stay as stubbed as it is right now?

(For them who want to know. The snake is doing great now. He probably has never been this healthy and active in his life)
