Stuff I got in petsmart =D

ee, you're in Mexico, my bad.
Over here it stays in the 60's so it's impossible the UTH to get over 90

You defiantly need some sort of temperature control no mater what other people may say that zoomed uth could easily hit 110 or more which is far to hot for your snake. Something else you need is a thermometer with a probe (you can usually find them for around $8 usd.

Yeah I know about the probe thermometer :S I bought a digital thermometer though but I bought it already knowing it won't work properly. how accurate that digital thermometer would be if I put it down the substrate?

Well, I use one.

So give or take 3 degrees.

The important thing is to measure the glass part that the heater touches, cus if you put it arriva del substrate your snake could still go down to the hot glass.

well Mexico is a cold country, I think I don't need to low down the temp a lot.... anyway I'll try it and keep the package so I can return it if there's a problem.
that hand made rheostat is great and it looks way better than the zoo med haha

Call me crazy, but isn't mexico a hot country? There for needing to make sure the tempature of the cage doesn't get too hot if the UTH is on full throttle?

lol you're not crazy, Mexico has a lot of different weathers across the country, they're even some states (acapulco) that can get to 100F with a lot of humity
but I live in the capital, Mexico city and for example now that it's debcember the temperatures goes to a min/max of 48/75
and lets say its the worst day of my life and there more hot than hell, the temp
wont rise more than 86f so I really think temp is not a problem, what do you think?
