Hello corn snake forums!
I made a change in substrate, and I noticed a behavior change and I'd like to hear some other owners' thoughts and experiences.
I just changed Lt. Snoodle (female, 1YO, 131g, amel) substrate from eco earth to aspen bedding as part of her enrichment. She seems to like the change, burrowing under the shreds as much as she can. What's curious is that she's stopped using her hides and canopy, choosing to coil under the bedding pretty much all the times I've seen her.
She is still thermoregulating and her feeding behavior hasn't changed, and I'll wait on shed to see how the aspen affects but otherwise, is there anything I should be looking for?
Anyone else want to share some behavior stories?
