Substrate change and hide usage

Hello corn snake forums!
I made a change in substrate, and I noticed a behavior change and I'd like to hear some other owners' thoughts and experiences.
I just changed Lt. Snoodle (female, 1YO, 131g, amel) substrate from eco earth to aspen bedding as part of her enrichment. She seems to like the change, burrowing under the shreds as much as she can. What's curious is that she's stopped using her hides and canopy, choosing to coil under the bedding pretty much all the times I've seen her.
She is still thermoregulating and her feeding behavior hasn't changed, and I'll wait on shed to see how the aspen affects but otherwise, is there anything I should be looking for?
Anyone else want to share some behavior stories?

I use aspen with all my snakeys and it is great for those that like to burrow as it keeps their tunnels quite well if it's deep enough. My corn uses his hide most of the time but it's not uncommon for him to hide by burrowing instead :)

Both my corns use both their hides and their aspen. Your snake is probably like a kid with a new toy staying in the aspen. It was like than when Mandy discovered her aspen. For several days all she did was burrow!

Barry Allen is a tunneling freak! He tunnels from hide to hide to water bowl and all around. I have to go fishing to find him for meal time or outings. He only ever pokes his head out to see what's up. Every so often I stir up his bedding just so he can make new burrows.
