Substrate in snakes mouth

Hey guys, I was feeding my snake and after she got it all down and stuff she has a small enough peice of substrate that i cant get it with my tweasers. Should I just leave her alone and see if she eventually gets it out? Are there any little things that you guys do when this occurs?

I'm assuming you're using Aspen? Hopefully she has already taken care of the problem but if she is available and you can grab it without a fuss, go for it. After feeding, it's extremely important to keep stress on your snake low.

I'm far from expert, but if it were me and she isn't easily scared, I'd grab it with a tweezers. I'm sure you'd be fine if you left her be though. it sounds like it's on the edge of her mouth and really won't be an issue anyways.

I've only fed corns on aspen (on a lid but the mouse got moved off) a few times. Every time I've seen aspen stuck to the mouse I've see the corn rub it off the mouse or work it out of their mouth. I wouldn't worry about it. They are smarter at this than we generally give them credit for.

You could try to take it out yourself, but your snake may spit it out on their own. To prevent this from happening again, you should feed your snake outside of the tank (if they will eat then), feed it with tongs, or feed it on something like paper in the tank.
