Sunkissed is considered one of the several genes that cause a hypomelanistic effect to the phenotype (1st photo). However, it also affects the pattern and sometimes doesn't create the hypo effect making it one of those more interesting genes to work with. Sunkissed tends to create an intriguing head pattern and the snout tends to be shorter than normal (see last photo for an obvious example). The saddles tend to be more squared off than the normal pattern, but as with any morph, variations are seen. In combination with certain other genes, Sunkissed creates something a bit unexpected. For example, Sunkissed motleys don't have the usual motley dorsal pattern but have a plain uncheckered belly - usually, retaining a more "typical" Sunkissed dorsal pattern. And in combination with the stripe gene...well, you'll just have to search that one to see the surprise!
