Super Sunblast corn? another new morph name I guess?

ChristinaM

Corn crazed Canuck
A for sale ad, listing a Sunblast corn...... I don't know if you can view the ad without being a member or not, but here's a link: http://www.reptilescanada.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=10547&cat=25

the same person has several other curious morphs available.... just browse:
http://www.reptilescanada.com/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=25

I'm just curious as to what they are..... is it just someone attempting to create more morph names or are they actually different morphs..... The sunblast looks similiar to one of my amels, only the one in the pic in the above link has banded saddles, mine does not.

I've emailed him asking about the "Sunblast" corn, just asking for more genetical info on it. In his description he says "It is a 100% pure corn with wide saddles with no white. They are not quite a sunglow and not quite a creamsicle."

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all creme's hybrids? I'm curious as to why he'd say not quite a sunglow and not quite a creamsicle.

Yep, there goes another one.
Post the pics if you can for fun.
I have a banded orange creamsicle who won't hardly grow at all. What should I call her? Tequila shrimp cocktail? lol

I thought I would go ahead and post the first pic. I find it interesting also that he said, "They are not quite a sunglow and not quite a creamsicle", which must mean that it is a sunglow creamsicle. lol

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like that name actually ;)

Here's the kicker, he's asking $750.00 for it :sidestep:
I do not know about the legalities about posting other peoples pics, so if I'm wrong in doing so, I apologise ahead of time and I will remove it.

Nevermind, the above poster got it before me. :)

Did you look at the others he had for sale too? :shrugs:

Exactly what I was thinking.

Now, we do all know that prices differ quite a bit between US and Canada.... example: I've seen lavenders in the US for $50 hatchling..... the reptile expo this weekend, there was some there and they were either $150 or 175, can't remember. But Lavenders are one morph we have not alot of here.... I expect the price to go down some when more people have them.

But still...... a Sunburst for $750 :sidestep: :crazy02: Does anyone else think it looks like a banded amel, maybe a banded sunglow? I just saw the ads today and my jaw dropped.

I was just at his store this morning, i shoulda checked it out. I have seen the "peach" before there, I think its a type of hypo possibly a new strain? dont know if he has test bred it but it is a nice snake. Just curious, how much did sunkisses go for right when they were first proved a new hypo strain? Prices are a bit high but it is a petstore not just a private breeder so that is expected. He does have some impressive colubrids.

Or not. Don't even try to defend someone who is trying to sell an amel for $750.

That "peach" frosted is not a new strain, its a frosted amel hybrid (creamsicle), which would cost, what?, $40? If its exceptionally pretty charge an extra $20, and if its a petstore charge another $30, So absolute max should be $90, not $2,000. As for the two $750 hybrids, because they obviously are, (hypo lav pinstriped and super sunblast my butt), sell those for a good $90 also. Just my 2 cents.
