Suprised Again

So I got up this morning to get ready for work, like every morning I went to check on my girls and Tessa had a big surprise for me!! Now most of you saw the pics of her right? Did she look like she was in Blue to you? I looked in her cage this morning and there was a big old skin in there!! I just can't believe it!! She's been eating and coming out to see me all week and I had no idea!! I kinda feel like a bad mom to be honest!! I didn't have time for pics but shes even more stunning than I thought I'll take some later on!!

when they go blue, they only stay that way a few days. It's easy to miss. Also, from the time the eyes clear to the time they actually shed can vary quite a bit. I've seen snakes shed the next day after blue, and I've seen them shed 3 or 4 weeks after blue.

I don't know how long you've had the snake, but is it possible she went blue some time ago either before you got her, or you just didn't catch it?

Well I've had her about a week! Bella stayed in Blue a week then shed a week after her eyes cleared up but I know they're all different!! I'm just amazed she ate and didn't mind coming out and hanging out with me and all

Congrats. She sounds like a wonderful snake. It's great that she shed, too. I know you mentioned that she had an odor. I hope the shed took care of that!

Rufus ate a mouse one time while in blue. The past 2 sheds he doessn't want to eat. He hasn't eaten in 3 weeks as of right now. But he should shed any day now.

It's always different. Nature takes its course and there's really no way to predict what they will do.

I didn't get to really check if the shed took care of the odor I was in such a hurry!! Now I'm sitting at work and I can't wait to go home and check out her colors!!!!

I had a hard time telling when Slinky was in shed the first time. It doesn't help that he doesn't really change his demeanor much while in blue. He still eats on his regular schedule without fuss and for the most part is still as active.

She's even more beautiful than I thought!!!

She has much more red and orange in her now that she had unexpectedly shed!!

She's so sweet and so deserving of a good home. I'm so glad you have her. She's a very beautiful girl!

I just love these guys and can't wait to develop a relationship with them!! I don't care what anyone says they definitely know who I am already and that will only grow over time!! Corns are such amazing animals and I love them all lol

She's a beautiful girl! Awesome and stunning!
And you are absolutely right about them knowing you, and even bonding with you in their own snakey kind of way. My adult male is skittish around my 2 younger grandkids but calm with the third...he is totally chill and relaxed with my son, ok but not great with my hubby, very patient around the babies that want to just touch him ....and a BIG lover boy with me.
And he loves our Yule decorations lol.

Oh they know. Snakes are much more sensitive and aware than they get credit for and in the smart department, corns have it hands down.
