Swimming During Pregnancy?

I have only put my snakes in the bath a couple times. I gave it a good rinse first and then put some water that was just about warm to touch in it, but not enough that they actually 'swam.' They were both fine with it.

When my females gravid I was thinking giving her a twice weekly swim would be an unstressful way of making sure she exercises and keeps her muscle tone up. Should I fill it a bit more so she actually does 'swim' ? Does anyone else do this? Would it be an ok form of exercise for her?

Yes we let our snakes swim...
But you need to remember that a top temp for a corn is nearly 10 degrees lower than human body temps..
that means if water feels warm to you it's above your body temp.
Get a thermometer, you'll find that the correct temp feels "cold" to the touch.
Did any of that make sense?

I would do it but the water temp worries me...ALOT.
So I intend to do careful and stress free handling instead.

Ok thanks for that, I will definetely measure the temp of the water (I have a floating one for beer making :) ) if I do so... maybe about 80F would be a good temp to aim for.
