Most corn snakes are not happy to be put in water. Usually people recommend "swimming" a snake to help them poop or to help get a stuck shed off. Then you only want to put your snake in fairly shallow water, 4 month baby would go in about 1/4-1/2 inch of water.
Babies really don't need a lot of exercise. Most of their calories should be going towards growing. In fact I feel like young babies should not be handled too much so they can focus on growing.
I have a large water bowl in my viv with Domino who is 2yrs old he enjoys sitting in it bathing(not swimming), but i wouldn't suggest this for a young corn.
I tried "misting" my corn - youd'a thunk I was tossing holy water on a vampire.
Meanwhile, my falsey was loving his weekly visit to the tub; just a couple inches of tepid water.
And yes; the water indeed acted like sauerkraut... but made for an easier cleanup than what woulda been a (huge) spot-clean.
