Syd's New Digs

Hello :)

So, I get bored of the same thing, and like to switch up my snakes tanks when I do their monthly cleaning.
Does anyone else do this? Or do you think it would be stressful for them?

Anyways, here's Sydney's new setup, just for fun. She hadn't been out of hiding under her substrate for 2 days, and when I pulled her out she was full in blue! I love when she's like that, she's very laid back. Can't wait to see her bright colours!

She is in a 30gal tank, and filling it out nicely. Her water dish is on the far left corner out of sight of the photo. She has a 13W day bulb, just for a nice soft light, and her UTH (with thermostat) set at 84F (goes between 82.5F and 86F). There are two hides half under the pile of substrate in the middle that are not seen, on top of the ones you can see, and a few paper towel roles in there as well - not to mention her 2 logs.
She was out for a nice long cruise to check it all out! I also saw her drink for the first time. Half an hour after that, I saw my ball python drink for the first time too... weird.

The first photo is a sink full of plants... didn't realize how many I had for her. 2 large and 3 medium!

Thanks for looking :) and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Very cool setup. I've changed my King's viv several times, it doesn't seem to stress him out at all. I'll be changing all of my boys homes in the next month or so. As long as there are no extreme changes in temps or hides I think they'll be fine.

Aw, looks like my Simon :) I change both my corn snake and redtail boa cages often, i havent noticed them become stressed but i have noticed they explore a lot afterwards. Personally i think they like the change, its like putting them into a new cage everytime so they get excited to explore.

Thanks! Glad to know I'm not the only one who does this, hehe.
*Phew* I don't want to stress her out, and I didn't think she seemed it. :)
And Nanci, those ARE paper towel tubes (believe it or not)! I cut them in half so they fit a bit nicer. She really doesn't use them much, but it's a little added comfort I would think. :p
