Tail end question

I'm thinking you should have reconsidered co-habbing as it may be the ghost is gravid and if your estimate of weight is correct much to small to lay eggs.

please explain it more to me as if i was if i am a new to snakes owner. And what i should do.

I could say do a search on co-habbing, cohabitation. Tere are a few things you can do, first seperate the snakes, you can take the ghost to the vet to confirm or deny the eggs. If you can't take the snake to the vet, you can hope she reabsorbs them. The ideal wieght for a female to beed is 300 grams, if you are correct yours is 1/10 the of that. Even if she reabsorbs this is a huge physical strian on the snake.
Keep in mind it is hard to tell from photos, but she does look like she could be gravid.

Well since you asked for explanations like you were a new owner.

Snakes do not "cuddle" they vie for the best space to hide, so you'll find them both there.

So it looks like i have to separate the snakes and then seeing maximus could be gravid there is no way those eggs if there are eggs are coming out...and if i leave them together what happens....is there a chance of maximus dying?
Im alil worried here now.

I think the first picture I saw on this forum was that of a dead eggbound female.
What happens if you don't seperate them, she becomes more stressed making it harder to deal with the situation. If she isn't gravid now she will be.
If those snakes are the same age, something is very wrong with one of them. I really think a vet visit is needed for both of them.

Putting two snakes together of unknown sex, is like putting two teenagers (male and female) in a room and saying, don't have sex.
The only way to explain this to you is as a "new snake owner." How long have you had corn snakes, a year?

So a female will only become gravid if there is a male around?

Huh! Actually no a female can be gravid, but the eggs aren't fertile. this is unusal, but it can happen.
Still seperate those snakes. Like I said I'm sure they are madly in love, but they will make it on their own.

Well just an update on this...Maximus's condition seems to have come down..really weird i dunno...but all is good now..snakes are still separated. thanks all for your help.
