can some one tell me why my cornsnake just rattled its tail while eating a hopper today? what was that all about i am watching it eat right now and liek a minute ago the tail just starting rattling? is this normal?
While eating snakes have virtually no defence against predators. But they can still "rattle" their tail as a warning. A couple of mine do the same thing periodically.
My advice to you is stand back a little and try to stay as still as possible while it's feeding. If you upset it enough, there would be a good chance of regurge.
Yep mine do it too, and my ball shakes like an egyptian when eating, they are defenseless and when watching, yep stay REAL stillllll. My corns are shy eaters and breaking them of that habit and it's working.,
