Taming snakes

mmmmmmm.....chicken.......

Some are just untamable, whereas others like mine are big fat chickens.

You know, some people say that the attitude of a person's pet reflects the attitude of the person. I wonder if that is the same with Reptiles.....

Dogs and cats I would say definitely, as they are much more "interactive" with their owners. Lazy owners will result lazy pets. Reptiles on the other hand (imo) just stay in their tank/cage and do what reptiles do.

It's an interesting thought though, Paul. AM I a big fat chicken? Hmmmmm????

So defensive...I was just stating...what makes you think that I was specifically talking about you? :grin01: :crazy02:

I know that Dogs and cats do this, as my dog is just a curious about everything as I am. a couple of my snakes show the same thing...they are always wanting to know what is going on all the time, even when nothing is.

haha! Cheeky monkey. ;) Well Max hides all the time... and I never leave my house (but I'm most definitely not shy)... Maybe I should get him a gf and see if he hops aboard or runs away?

Well there you go.

The only problem with getting max a GF is that you might end up with babies...

... or your monkey... *refrains from replying further*

My little guy doesn't mind being held either. When I first got him, he was a little uneasy, but after a little while he is just fine.

:-offtopic of corn snakes:

I had a African Rock Python who are just supposed to be absolutly a real pain to handle! And he never struck at me once. It just depends on the snake...

You are really bad...An open thread is not the place to make references like this. If this is what you want to talk about, then we need to take this to PM or email. :grin01: :crazy02:

Yes, every snake has it's on individual personality. I have knows Ball pythons, who are supposed to be the pickiest eaters in the snake world, that eat readily all the time.

When I choose snakes, I just hope that I am getting one with a good and interesting personality.
