Tank divider.

I finally divided my 40 gal. terr.
Alex and Ophion kept rubbing against the glass to each other.
They even tried to get over the divider, but
Ophion actually got over, and it surprised me.
But right now, I just put card board to cover the gap.
They are trying to look around to find a way to get to the other side.
It was funny though.
Anyways, I am glad that I am not going to take any risk about co-habbing.

im thinking about doing that with the big tank. not sure how well it will go dividing it into 4, but with having two different feeding scheduals, its started to worry me one of them will smell the meals and decide to eat Again, off schedual... and go after each other. Even if mom and dad swears it will be fine if they havent done it thus far... =\ idk, i guess we'll see... when one eats another and they both die from it, i'll just have their heads like the evil Queen of Hearts. Lol.

lol, both of my snakes have same feeding day, which is on Monday.
Before the divider, both of my snakes had been fed at night time on Monday, and didn't cause any problems at all. They just ran off to 2 different hides.
I am no expert at this thing, but I am just learning.

It's called plexiglass...
And I'm happy you did the right thing and tried to separate them..

Thank you, I did the right thing so I can save their life because I care about them. All that co-habbing thread, made me really worried about our snakes and I got them seperated right after.

Well, mine get seperated for feeding, and digesting. But it still worries me when they're in the big tank. However, everything was set up based on our past experience when i was a Little Girl. [Most of which i wouldnt remember if it wasnt for the bajillion pictures my parents took of me back then lol.] But basically, back then we had 7 Adult corn snakes living in the same viv, both male and female. Mom said there was only ever one fight. Between two of the males, and when she broke them up, Mickey bit her good and i screamed. xD I was worried about Mickey more than mom apparently lol. But it was all ok other than that. And no two wanted to eat the same day.

But i know earlier i read that hatchlings are more likely to turn canabalistic, though everybody says its a slight chance to begin with, though 1/4 i could see... and i personally dont want to risk it... But we're hurting on money, so 3 big brand new tanks is out of the question... Im thinking of cheaper ways i could divide what i Do have, and then worry about paying for decent heating once its divided for each section.

Ah, well I've seen many people use that plastic boxes where you use for storages, just drill the holes on sides and stuff.
Go ask somebody who owns it, and they will explain to you what you need.

The plexisglass is really cheap to buy and silicone too.
I spend only up to 20 bucks just to get plexis glass and silicone.
It's easy, but I kinda messed up the measurement on my tank,
and there was 1/2 inch gap. So I used card board to cover that. :D
