Tank Temperatures

I hate to say it, but that looks like other photos I've seen of burns. Your need for a stat and more hides might be more urgent than we thought.

In the meantime, best to treat it with some sort of reptile-safe antiseptic (I'm in the UK where I use Betadine) and switch to newspaper or kitchen paper as a substrate, to avoid fragments of fibres getting stuck in the wound - just makes it easier to keep clean while it's healing.

Okay, I have ordered a bunch of new stuff for for him from reptilesupply on Friday night, they shipped all the new stuff out Saturday Morning. I got two more hides and some other stuff.. I got some carpet for the bottom of the tank to insulate the tank so that if it was burrowing he will not touch the glass. I've also fixed the heat Issue, I've turned off the Heater all together during the day until my Rheostat gets here (it's 80 deg F. In My House - Lovely Arizona Weather)

I'm going to find something to put on the wounded area. I live 7 Miles from the PetSmart they don't really do Snakes but I'll have to see what they have.. Lennycorn Said neosporin.

Could you raise the tank up off of the heatmat until the heat is regulated?

Done, I'm working on a new stand. I think that sitting on top of the cardboard box that they tank came in trapped a lot of the heat under the tank.

again thanks all for your advice, :)

You are doing much better now....Great job!!!!!!
