If you want the temps inside of a tub, you would put in a therm right? All the pics I have seen on here of snakes housing inside of bins have never shown a thermometer.

1) put a therm inside the tub
2) get a therm with a probe, and put the probe somewhere inside in the viv, usually in the hotspot, leaving the therm outside (just be sure to read the "out" temp
3) get a therm w/ probe, put the probe on the hot end, and the therm inside on the cool end. now you get to see the hot and cold side.
With 2 and 3, try and find a way to hide/cover the cord for the probe, otherwise the snake will try to climb on it and such, moving the probe and making the therm useless.
