Thank you all for responding to my question! This has been a great help. And now that I've learned what I've needed to about the basics of having a corn snake, the hard part begins - learning to actually hold my daughter's - I've always been TERRIFIED of snakes!!! But this is something she's wanted for a very long time, so I'm going to get over this!!

haha well you came to a good site to actually learn how snakes really are instead of the myths an false statements.. now go play with that snake!
 
2 weeks ago my mum was petrified of snakes (and has eben for 40ish years) ... now whenever she visits she'll let Suzy move all over her hands ...
