The snakes are on the move here in Wisconsin

I spent another day out in the field and what a day it was. The snakes here in Wisconsin are beginning to migrate to the areas where they den up for the winter. I was in such an area. I saw: 19 garter snakes, 8 juvy western fox snakes (lifer) ans 6 ro 7 red-bellied snakes today. I was unreal. Here's photos of two of the western fox snakes. Some of you may be unfamiliar with them.

This guy was under a rock I flipped. He was a good snake and stayed put for the photo.

This guy was on the move, but I finally got his attention long enough to snap a photo.

I've never seen so many snakes in one place. At one point I saw a garter and 3 redbellied snakes within 2 feet of each other. It was AWESOME!

Yeah those fox snakes are very attractive, how are they in captivity? Looks like they would make a nice pet! Sounds like alot of snakes out there now, maybe i should go to the woods tommorow and have a look myself!
