The too-tall tank and the too-short owner

A low table will give her access to the tank or sitting on it's side will give them access to them. I actually love mine sitting on the side. I can take the lid off and take some good pictures, I can also talk to my guy when he's right there... whether he hears me or not, he appears to pay attention to me :)

If that's what the OP wishes to do, then fine. I was just making a helpful suggestion. I felt your first post came across too strongly. But no worries. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys (gals).

Really don't want to spend a bunch of money. (I board a horse and I'm buying another. My herp-focused funds are a bit tight.) But I decided that I'm not liking the original tank stand at all.

At this point, I'm dedicated to scrubbing the old tank out (As soon as all three kids get over whatever stomach thing they have that's been knocking them out of school for the past week.). Then I'm setting it up with a screen cover hinged down the center on an old coffee table. If Cloudy Sky decides to climb, then I'll leave it that way. If he holds fast to his burrowing tendencies, then I'll flip it on its side for more floor space. I'll need to get another heat mat for the bigger tank as it is, but that's about as much as I want to deal with financially for right now.

Selling the tank stand is going to be a bit of a hassle, but I'm hoping I'll get some takers. Craigslist, here I come.
