thermometer question

hey everyone!

im currently using a set of springfield precise temp thermometers, and im wondering if anyone else is using these particular models. at the moment the one on the warm side is doing this thing where it climbs up one degree then falls back withing 30 seconds or so. do i have junk thermometers? or is this common behavior... i worry alot about my little guy being comfortable!

That's not a very precision thermometer, it's the wireless one? Doesn't matter, even a cheap one can be within one degree. I'm pretty sure one degree or even five either way doesn't make a difference to your snake, but if you pay for a thermometer it should work.

agreed. it wasnt that expensive to begin with so i guess i cant complain. im using a home made rheostat and i just moved him over to a new viv, and being the perfectionist i am it probably bothers me more than him that it might be a degree or two out. thanks for the quick reply.

I was thinking after I posted that if it was one degree it still might be working properly. If it reads in increments of one degree the temp may be right at the point where it changes from one value to the other.
